CenteRD Nutrition LLC provides pediatric and adult nutrition services, specializing in all types of eating disorders, sports nutrition and weight management. Erin Wolf-Barnett MS, RD, LD is the founder of CenteRD Nutrition.
My professional mission is to provide compassionate, expert nutrition
advice by empowering individuals and families to change habits. I use a
Family-Based approach of eating disorders for adolescents and children with
anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, as well as mindful eating
techniques. My role is to empower
individuals to make confident, knowledgeable food choices while weighing the
balance of internal and external critics.
Treatment includes sessions in my office and experiential visits to
grocery stores or restaurants. As part
of my treatment, I may conduct nutrition assessments, goal setting, food plans
and nutritional recommendations. I will communicate with each client’s multidisciplinary
team, including medical doctors, therapists and other health
professionals.
My background includes eight years working in clinical settings, at
Children’s National Medical Center in Washington and at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. In addition to
eating disorders, I have worked extensively with cystic fibrosis, neurology and
pediatric populations.
My non-clinical experience includes working with college athletic
teams, providing individual nutritional counseling to student athletes and
establishing the sports nutrition component of the strength and conditioning
program at George Washington University. I have taught college courses on
general nutrition and wellness and on sports nutrition, and I have presented to
a number of diverse community health groups as well as at an international
conference on the Ketogenic diet.
Master of Science, Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength
